Helping you take care of your fur babies!
A new company, set up by Army Veteran and recently retired Police Officer - Garry Shillam. Serving the pets and families of our local area ( Ripon ). We love caring and connecting with the dogs and their owners creating everlasting relationships. We provide care for your fur baby as if they were our own and ensure that they receive the highest quality care when in our charge.
I've had a dog in the family for over 40 years - first of all was Jackson a German Shepherd. Then we had Sam a West Highland White Terrier onto Cherry a rescue Doberman to Gem and Jackson a pair of German Shepherds. Through to Maddie a rescue Lab x with German Shepherd and now our current dog, Vespa a German Short Haired Pointer. So a variety of dogs and traits over the years.
I am fully insured to carry and care for your dogs when they are with me and my team ( family ) I have also passed a Pet First Aid course. I will have a max of 4 dogs per walk that way I ensure that they are all cared for and have the attention that they require. I thought long and hard about the van and crates for the safe transport of the dogs and that is shown on the section below.
When you live a busy life, it is hard to consistently provide the attention and care that your pets can demand. With years of experience caring for dogs, you can rely on us to care for your dog when you're away through the day.
We are always prepared for any pets' needs and ensure that your pet will receive the best care and love. Their happiness and care is our priority and we strive to provide a service we would want our own pets to receive.
Showing you the van and how it's been prepared to carry your dogs
A solid panel van as chosen instead of glass sides to prevent the sun from over heating the passengers and to add an extra layer of security.
The no glass decision was made so that in the unlikely event of a collision the dogs wouldn't get covered in glass.
Floor vent - there is one either side internally behind each wheel arch. These add that extra bit of ventilation at all times.
12 inch wind powered rotary ventilator. This in conjunction with the floor vents circulate the air flow in the back of the van constantly.
I also have a thermometer in the back which I monitor throughout the day - for the safety and comfort of the dogs on board.
This is non slip matting which also adds a bit of insulation, so that the dog crates are not on the metal floor.
The Aluline Double Dog Crate provides your dog with a safe, secure environment whilst travelling. The Dog Crate is an aluminium plastic composite transport box which stays cool in the back of the van. The aluminium is very easy to hose down and keep clean and also cool for the dogs. I currently have foam matting inside which again is easily cleaned and has a thermal rating. The crates are securely held in place with cargo straps and do not move whilst in the van.
By only having the two crates in the van , I can easily access them to put dogs in and take them out. I purposely haven't overpopulated the back of the van, so the air circulation is good. As such I can safely and comfortably, transport four dogs, which is my maximum group walking size at any one time.
